7 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Name brand recognition Good program, great reputation in the nursing world. My DNP was online and managable with my full time work schedule. Top notch Professors who are very accessible for individual phone calls and assistance. - Alum
- Clinical rotation were self selected During my time in the program I had to secure my clinic sites and preceptors. It was difficult to secure rotations, however, I was able to choose my preferred specialty (cardiology) throughout the program once the initial required clinical rotations were met. - Alum
- Excellent instructors, fantastic program! The master's program at Kent State was all around a great experience. The instructors were fully engaged and supportive. The program was able to link me up with preceptors which allowed me to work full time and balance my school load without feeling overwhelmed. Upon graduation I was prepared for boards and my first position as an NP! - Alum
- Excellent program My in person education and training was priceless. I feel I was much better prepared than the students I get from online programs. - Alum
- Pediatric Primary Care NP Program I was able to work full time (3/ 13hr shifts) while completing my Masters degree at Kent State. The total number of students in Peds Primary Care was 2 students. This small number allowed for a very good experience and faculty was attentive to our needs. Securing preceptorship was a combined effort with the universities resources and my own personal professional relationships that I had with NP's in a few different areas of practice. Because there was only two students, securing NP preceptors was not a difficult task. I felt that I was prepared to pass the Peds PC board exam after graduating from Kent State's program. - Alum
