6 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Stressful At times it felt disorganized and issues were difficult to rectify due to it being virtual. Exam prep was good, the board was easy to pass first try. - Alum
- PMHNP Program My experience at St. Thomas was terrible! The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner program did not prepare me well enough to pass the boards. They did not help with preceptor match. The support for post graduation job placement was nonexistent. There were limited to no resources to navigate life after graduation. To top it off, the director of the Psych Program was not helpful and made the program more difficult than it needed to be and it seemed as though she wanted her students to fail. I would not recommend anyone to attend their program. - Alum
- Left to fend for myself Lack of support, no help with clinical placement, left paying significant amount out of pocket to secure preceptors privately as they don’t assist in any way. - Alum
- Overall good experience Workload is manageable and the education provided does prepare you for the clinical aspects. Lack of guidance for after graduation process (getting state license, DEA, etc). School does not assist with preceptors. - Alum
- After all of this is hard to get a job. The field No many jobs available. Opportunities are very limited. The job market is terrible, no offers, no benefits, just contract job where they do not want to pay. - Alum
