5 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Proud to be a Badger NP! I attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison for both my undergraduate and graduate studies. Given the benefit of the passage of time and where my career has gone since then, I can't imagine how I could've gotten here without them. I think my clinical and leadership preparation was excellent and has allowed me to pursue career opportunities and hadn't even thought possible. If you're looking into a bedside nursing or nurse practitioner career, I would highly recommend my alma mater. On, Wisconsin! - Alum
- NP Experience I went to my NP program 26 years ago. I’m not sure my experience is a fair reflection of an experience today. I took the PNCB as well as the ANCC boards because the USAF paid for my MSN. They wanted me to take one set of boards and I wanted to take the other, so I took both. The program assisted me to easily pass both. - Alum
- Great Program I enjoyed my time in this program and felt well prepared for my career after graduation. The staff is very supportive and knowledgeable. - Alum
- Good program. There was no stress for clinical placement. Faculty helped with clinical placement. - Alum
- UW DNP Strengths of program are primarily in securing placement in clinicals without students having to approach preceptors. However, students may not have influence over where they are placed - especially for students who do not currently work within the Madison area/within the UW health system. - Alum
