5 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Recommend with reservations Private Methodist college with lots of bias towards “Christian principles” in NP practice. Dean of Nursing gives sermons where he encourages students to implement Christ-like principles into clinical practice. Weekly assignments include incorporating scripture into practice. Program is anti-LGBTQ+ or abortions. Will not approve clinical sites that provide abortion services. Does not assist with clinical placement but has a directory of previously approved clinical sites for student to cold call. Does offer military discount. Designed for a working professional. Focus on one class at a time. - Alum
- Best education decision I’ve ever made. Spring Arbor has a robust education program that is great for career advancement. I highly recommend this program to any RN. Although it had its moments of stress, the faculty was very attentive and supportive and can be easily added even when juggling full time employment and family life. - Alum
- Pros & Cons The pros was that most of the staff was very helpful. Good program for the cost. I liked having only 1 class at a time. The cons are that they did not help you secure clinical. Did not get enough practice on physical assessment. I thought the Advanced Patho should have been split up into 2 classes. Too much info in too little time. I did not like all the group work. I did pass my boards on the first try. - Alum
- Overall Great Program Overall Spring Arbor was a great program. The scheduling of one class at a time was better to retain information and really focus but still move through the program quickly. Clinical experiences were tied in well with didactic courses and overall a great distance learning experience. I was able to continue working and balance my home, work, and school life. Still had to find your own clinical placement which can be challenging but I enjoyed the program and was offered a job almost a year before I graduated. I felt well prepared and not completely overwhelmed when starting my first job. - Alum
- Loved this school. I was able to work full time and attend school to obtain my NP. - Alum
