3 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Great classes and instructors. I wish the school provided guidance on preceptors, but for the cost of the program, I wasn’t surprised they didn’t help. - Alum
- Choose your clinical placement wisely Clinical experiences are just as important as the quality of the didactic program that you choose. I was able to secure an excellent preceptor in the internal medicine clinic at a University Medical Center system. I passed the AANPCB FNP exam on the first attempt. The instructors in the FNP program were knowledgable, experienced, and engaged. I struggled to find placement for pediatrics and ended up driving 4 hours from where I live to a clinic where the pediatrician averaged 50 children each 8 hour shift. The only help I received from ASC to find a preceptor was a call that directed me to do the things I already had done- using social media, messaging within local groups, considering matching services that charge a fee. This issue is not unique to ASC; unless you are attending a University like Vanderbilt, you are going to have no meaningful support finding a preceptor. - Alum
- Nice way to get my degree Hard to secure preceptors on your own. Start that search immediately! - Alum
