- program v/s cost I feel like Herzing is a great program for the cost. The instructors are always available and willing to help anytime day or night. The clinical places were very difficult to find (but that's every school). Overall, I have recommended this university to so many people. I am proud of my tenure there! - Alum
- Great NP School- Intense and worth it Herzing University adequately prepared me for my NP career. The courses are intense. The instructors are amazing and flexible should personal conflicts arise. I highly recommend Herzing University to many of my RN colleagues who are contemplating returning for a post masters certification as well as BSN RNs continuing to pursue their MSN NP degree. I believe the courses prepare experienced RNs with the tools they need to pass the board exam and function competently post certification as a certified nurse practitioner. - Alum
- The best preparation for my MSN Everything was 100% The preparation guidance and the training were all what they promised. I feel that more aspiring NPs should know about Herzings programs. - Alum
- Academically rigorous program with support I worked full time as a psychiatric nurse manager during my NP program. While it was certainly not easy to balance the rigorous workload of graduate school and the highly demanding work of nursing leadership (along with family obligations), I was able to do it. The program offered sufficient support and encouragement. There was little flexibility, however deadlines and explanations were made clear and instructors were responsive. I arranged my own clinical experience within my community. This did not come at a financial cost to me, but required considerable leg-work and networking. Thanks to the curriculum and clinical rotations, I felt academically prepared for the board exam and for practice. I am not 2 years into practice and have found that among my colleagues, Herzing offered me a strong foundation within the field. - Alum
- Almost a degree mill. I did not feel the program offered a strong traditional teaching component. It is largely self-directed, which may be challenging for RNs who do not yet have substantial clinical experience. - Alum
