- Well Designed Program I enjoyed my DNP/ PMHNP program at the University of Arizona. I felt that I was prepared for clinicals, for the certification exam, and (later on) for starting to practice. The DNP project process was long, but I felt supported throughout. - Alum
- The program was in-person when I attended. The school set up all preceptors. Overall, I left school feeling prepared for any job. I have spent the last 25 years working as a NP in a wide variety of specialties. I still love my career. - Alum
- Post master certificate I was fortunate to go to school at a time when nobody was looking at psych. My preceptors were psychiatrist. Tuition was low. The school provided me with the necessary education to complete my postmaster certificate although my experience and previous education added to my competency. One of my few frustrations is that on my transcripts, they did not indicate I earned a postmaster certificate, which has sometimes caused difficulty in obtaining state licenses. I would make sure if you get a postmasters that your transcripts state that you completed the postmaster certificate. - Alum
- Prepared Well UA College of Nursing prepared me for the role of PMHNP to be a critical thinker & holistic provider. Psychopharmacology was taught by distinguished faculty from the UA College of Pharmacy & preceptorship was arranged by the College. I developed lifelong friendships & supportive connections which continue to flourish. - Alum
