14 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- NP program review In the Ball State program I was able to continue working full-time, the price was very reasonable, and ability to do clinicals nearby was great, making the program quite doable for me. I didn't receive much help in finding clinical sites or preceptors, and sometimes my finding them came down to the wire. The professors were excellent and the online components of the NP program were great. I did feel prepared for the certification exam. - Alum
- BSU degree Was conducive to working while obtaining my degree. Would have liked more in-person learning. Ultimately it gave me the degree I needed. I am grateful for that. - Alum
- First semester slightly confusing In the beginning, I felt like I was thrown in without a lot of guidance since the program was online. Each semester got easier as maneuvering the system was not brand new. I never had trouble finding clinical sites or preceptors. The knowledge I gained was priceless. - Alum
- Not enough IMO the NP programs need to be geared more like the PA programs. I don’t need nursing theory to help me diagnose patients. I would rather have had more micro about antibiotic therapy or concepts geared more to real practice! - Alum
- Great program I was an early NP student in 2003 and was lucky enough to be employed with a weekend option position. The course work was challenging but doable. We had staff available to assist us in obtaining preceptors and other professionals to check on us. I felt as prepared as I possible could be to take on the role that I had gone to graduate school for. - Alum
