5 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Blended Learning The Allen College experience was a great blend of online and in person classes. It is so important to have hands on learning before real life clinical experience. - Alum
- Probably better I person I had to do it online and wk full time. Most of the professors had at least one, if not two other jobs in addition to teaching. I also had two jobs plus was going to school. We were expected to accommodate their schedules, shortcomings, misunderstandings, etc. but they did not return the favor. If they’re syllabus was incorrect because they didn’t update it from last semester we were to understand, if I misread the syllabus and didn’t have my assignment in I got a zero. - Alum
- Overall great Allen takes pride on preparing students at all levels. The courses are intense yet manageable. This program prepares NPs for entry level positions. - Alum
- Smaller = better There’s something about being at a smaller school like Allen that just clicked with me. At the bigger schools, there’s so many students that you are just another face in the crowd. Not only did I get my BSN at Allen, I also got my masters and my post-MSN certificate. My only complaint is that I had a very difficult time finding my own preceptors, but it’s been a long time and they may have change the way. Things are done now. I would recommend Alan over any other program in the state. - Alum
- Great school Allen has fantastic NP programs. I felt well prepared for boards and practice. - Alum
