11 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- USD NP program University of San Diego has a very well-rounded NP program. The highlight of this program is that it has a placement coordinator who will secure preceptors and clinical sites for you, and the coordinator will also work to connect you to placements you have officially/unofficially obtained. The professors are excellent - very experienced and welcoming for any questions/concerns that arise. - Alum
- Conflict within the faculty made it difficult Excellent preceptor placement. Some professors were excellent organized and made learning easy and interesting. Other professors were intimidating, rude to preceptors and made the experience stressful. - Alum
- 10/10 Recommend USD! The BSN-DNP program at University of San Diego is phenomenal. While very expensive it is definitely worth the money. The faculty is exceptional, they are devoted to placing students in clinical sites applicable to what is currently being taught. It was a rigorous program but helped prepare me for the boards and my first job. - Alum
- Excellent program. Prepared me well. Was in-person School provided precepts, which should be standard for all NP school. Excellent placements. - Alum
- Expensive USD has a number of options however they strongly encourage the MSN-DNP. I knew this was not a viable option for me so I did the MSN FNP-C track over a 3 year period and then enrolled in the post masters DNP. I worked part time. The program had a full time placement coordinator for clinical rotations. Given what the program costs, and how hard it is to find a preceptor these days, it might be worth the money just for that reason. The faculty was and I understand still is, mostly "home grown". Given where healthcare is at these days I question if my education was worth the investment. - Alum
