5 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Need to streamline learning The program should have had more real life scenarios with hands on preparation and a variety of learning instead of just excessively long power point presentations also they need to hire appropriate educators who are qualified for the specific roles my last instructor/lecturer was the most qualified and because of that instructor I felt prepared to pass the certification examination. More preparation and education about the steps of certification licensing and obtaining DEA would have been helpful. - Alum
- Good experience Good experience for both my MS and DNP degrees! Workload was fair and I do feel that the program helped prepare me for board exams and as a new NP - Alum
- Lacking chronic disease management. The primary care and assessment courses were excellent however management of chronic diseases was limited. I graduated in 2001 and was fortunate to attend in person classes and with hands on experience. I could not imagine completing as assessment course virtually. I also had the opportunity to develop close knit contacts with other NP students and faculty that is lacking in distance learning NP programs now. I have precepted several students over the past several years and a faculty member never made a site visit to assess the student. - Alum
- Highly Recommend UMASS The program met my needs at the time when I graduated in 2006. I was able to continue to work part time and secure a cardiology preceptorship and after graduation, start my career in cardiology. - Alum
- Review I had an excellent experiences with dedicated professors. I completed both my BSN and DNP with Umass Dartmouth. I felt well prepared for certification and job seeking. - Alum
