6 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Biased This program has a clear preferred student type -- a young, type A female. If you are at all non-traditional or have any disabilities, avoid this program. - Alum
- Good program Great teachers, rigorous program. Prepared me very well for my career. I wish there had been more focus on underserved populations (intersections of health and homelessness, poverty, mental illness, substance use, some focus on case management, HIV/AIDS), but overall had a wonderful experience - Alum
- Better than most I value this program more now that I complete a post-grad certification speciality elsewhere. This program will push you, but that’s a good thing. - Alum
- UVM DNP Program Very different experience during COVID19 and it was difficult to obtain clinical placement. I ended up having to find my own clinical sites for a few semesters. This is usually found for us though at no extra cost for us. During the years prior to COVID this was not a problem and we always had clinical sites. We did a considerable amount of travel - my last clinical site I had to drive 3 days a week across the state about 1.5 hours each way - took a toll on my gas, $$ of gas and vehicle maintenance. All other clinical sites were within 30 minutes of my home. Classes and overall workload was manageable and I was able to work as an RN during the program. I felt prepared for my exam and passed first try. - Alum
- UVM np Good classes, felt fairly prepared for entry to practice. Good support from faculty. Workload demanding with clinicals and work. Clinical sites hard to find. - Alum
