The school was not helpful with preceptorship placement.

I felt it was an easy year to complete this program
This program took a year to complete and I felt it was easy to take on during working full-time. There were some times that were difficult and I studied a lot. Being an adult nurse practitioner for over 18 years before taking on this program helped tremendously with my education. The biggest downfall was that we had to find our own clinical sites and preceptors.

USJ is a great program, but…
…we were given a list of clinical placements to approach but nothing was guaranteed. It was stressful. I had to lean on my network of prior employment to find a preceptor.

NP school is HARD
NP school is HARD, it's supposed to be! It's HARD to work and go to school full time. At the time, St. Joseph's did not provide preceptorship, that would have been helpful.
