- Great, affordable program Great professors that are available and invested in your success. Professors remain in practice and up to date with guidelines. Program was manageable with work in the beginning. ASU has opportunity for multiple scholarships. - Alum
- MSN 3 year program Very manageable with young child and working FT. Only need to go PT near the end due to clinical hours. Did this half a summer so about 1.5 months. I felt very prepared for offers which I landed in urgent care to start. My background was ER/critical care. VERY hard getting my own clinical settings as this is NOT provided. FT job in itself, but that made me much stronger and better prepared like applying for jobs for those clinical settings. Had a job offer each as well. - Alum
- Highly Recommend ASU I had a great experience with this program and highly recommend. I felt prepared in my preceptorships due to the didactic. I felt prepared entering this new career as well. The good offer a list of preceptors that were used previously that I began contacting to find one willing to precept me. The doctor I located for the family portion was awesome. He taught me a lot and he actually told me he would never accept another schools students because he’s finding that the Angelo State students are the most prepared. After my second day of clinicals with him, he offered to do the rest of my hours. He also helped me secure, a pediatric preceptor and a mental health preceptor that he personally knew. I was so prepared that I passed my exam on the first attempt no issues. - Alum
- Angelo State University review - no preceptor help I had a great experience with the professors and classwork involved with my master's degree at ASU. Unfortunately, they did not provide any aid in obtaining preceptors which was easily the most challenging part of my graduate degree and led to much stress. - Alum
- My hometown NP program I chose this program because it was available in my hometown. I hoped that I could take an on-campus class if I wanted however, that was not the case. I have to think I might have chosen another option had known there was no choice for any on-campus courses. It was fully online other than my preceptor hours. There was no assistance with locating preceptors. When I completed the course, I felt more clinical hours would have been beneficial. - Alum
