A great education
While many years ago, my education and Barry University provided me with the requisite knowledge to begin by career. Additionally, the experience and faculty support taught me how to advocate, explore new options, and be a lifelong learner. I highly recommend the university.

From Novice to Expert
I practically searched for my own clinical preceptors while in graduate nursing school, and learned more from them than I did in the classroom with theoretical classes. My preceptors were experts in their respective specialties. A mastery of clinical skills under highly competent mentors along with hard work, dedication and perseverance prepared me to excel as a successful, valuable and highly respected Family Nurse Practitioner in various practice settings.

My NP student experience
This program prepared me to pass the certification exam on my first attempt. The school helped me choose clinical sites that offered a variety of experiences. I made a close lifelong friend with a classmate.

I was happy to get education there
Program was tough but worth it. I feel their requirement of being a nurse for 5 years prior to becoming an NP should be the norm a NEW grad nurse who has not developed her critical thinking skills should not go straight to NP school plus I don’t think NP school should be done online.
