8 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Better now I graduated in 2012. I felt several professors were not prepared to teach. I did not receive and help in getting a job. Now I am affiliate faculty and work with the FNP students and feel the professors are much better - Alum
- NNP manager and preceptors I felt at the time 2003 to 2005 the nnp manager of the unit was not very kind or helpful. The preceptors were very hard on you, and one even totally embarrassed me during rounds. The program itself was manageable in the beginning to be able to work classes being focused on 2 days a week, but then when you had to do your clinical hours it was not manageable to be able to work. I feel there are a lot of nurses who count on their salary for their home finances and giving that up is one thing that would be a deterrent from going back to school. As far as passing my certification exam, I feel it prepared me maybe 50% and then had to really study hard the other 50%. - Alum
- Excellent Program I was prepared well. For my masters this was an in person program. They instructors were excellent and always had great presentations. This was a very good program. I wanted in person as I felt I learned best this way. For the clinicals-they always found me my site. Good sites and excellent preceptor. I’m still in touch with a few. For my doctorate-it was all online. - Alum
- Had to return for this program The program prepared me well for real world practice. The instructors and preceptors had strong knowledge base and were supportive in my development. I expected nothing less as I had a similar experience years prior for my BSN - Alum
- Work life balance It was a great program for working adults. A little more assistance with preceptors would be nice. Also it would be a nice option to have some training on how to negotiate a job contract and salary. - Alum
