- It was an ok experience. I unfortunately did not have really great experience with this program due to the lack of help with assistance in pairing with preceptors and figuring out how to prepare for the certification examination. We had one or two very unfair instructors that many of us had to file grievance against. However there were many instructors that were also amazing. I do feel that 500hrs clinical experience is not enough. This was years ago since I graduated and I hope that these bugs have been worked out. - Alum
- UWF does not secure preceptors for you This school provides no help when needing preceptor placement. They will tell you they do, but they do not. I worked full time during this program with no issues - Alum
- FNP PROGRAM I loved my time at UWF. During my time there was not much help with finding preceptors. They did give a list of already approved preceptor that I was able to go through. I believe now they have a program that preceptors get paid by the university so that is helpful now but during my time Was limited, but I was lucky with resources. The teachers were great and very supportive throughout. I even gave birth early in the last semester and was hospitalized in the entire program was great and very helpful. - Alum
- Excellent Program! They faculty truly cares about each student. There were times I really considered dropping out because I was overwhelmed working fully time ER/Trauma and school/clinics. The professors worked with me and encouraged me to not give up. That was invaluable and I don't think I would have finished if I had been at a school that wasn't as student oriented. In my clinicals I did meet other NP and PA students and I felt that UWF prepared me just as well or better than the other students I was in clinical with. - Alum
- Right choice for me This program was the right choice for me at the time. It was local to me and offered a discount tied to my then-employer. Instructors seemed knowledgeable and helpful. You must be disciplined and able to take responsibility for your own education. There is no handholding. There was some busy work at times, but for the most part, it was doable while maintaining full time employment. I dropped down to part-time at my job, once I started clinical. I skipped a few semesters due to personal reasons and found it easy to pick back up where I left off. Affordable and reputable, so I do recommend the program. I interviewed and received multiple job offers, ultimately accepting a position 3 months after graduating. - Alum
