4 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Tri-Cities location I was working as a nursing educator at a community college when I decided to go to grad school and having access to a program that was local and allowed flexibility was critical when choosing my program. The collaboration with local MN students was also a positive aspect of my education at WSU Tri-Cities. - Alum
- WSU has a GREAT NP PROGRAM I graduated from the program in 2004. I was the schools gypsy. I commuted from Seattle to Vancouver to go to school. They worked with me to make sure I could video stream whenever possible. During the time I was doing my clinical rotation the facility I interned at lost their funding overnight and I was without a clinical site. They worked with me to find another one. During my last semester I ended up doing clinicals in Yakima which worked out well since they had a Yakima site I could video stream from. I felt prepared to go out and practice once I graduated. I don't remember us focusing on the certification. I was happy with the program. There were a couple of things that I was not happy with but they were little and nothing is perfect. I felt supported. The Dean of the program went to bat for me on a big issue. That issue really helped me both academically and mentally. I would recommend WSU NP program hands down. It I were to grade they would be given an A. - Alum

- Overall great program Overall great program. Very busy in the last semester because the internship and final practicum placements were scheduled at the same time, in addition to DNP project hours. I know a couple of classmates were able to continue working, but I could not. However, WSU was extremely helpful in securing placements. Most of the classes felt well organized and relevant. Teachers genuinely care about your progression through the program. I liked the hybrid set up, where some classes were online, some you had to come on to campus for. I felt well prepared to pass the boards and begin my career as a PMHNP. Would definitely recommend this program. - Alum
