- Columbia Nursing I had a BSN and had been working as a nurse for four years when I started the masters program in 2014. I went straight into the doctorate program. The current PNP director is amazing, she was an associate director when I went through the program. The education was great, the clinical sites were fantastic with a wide variety. We did not have to identify our own sites. Overall it was a great experience and I feel prepared me to be independent in my field. - Alum
- Excellent school As a graduate from Columbia . I learned a lot and increased my self confidence. - Alum
- Columbia I continued to work as an RN while obtaining my masters degree but it was extremely challenging to balance school work and clinical hour requirements, so I would not recommend this in an FNP program which has the highest requirements. I did not have issues finding clinical preceptors/obtaining hours but had to travel to many locations though out the nyc area. No help was provided in finding my NP job but I also moved back to California - Alum
- Excellent school Single mom worked weekends while in school. Challenging but manageable. Instructors excellent - Alum
- Excellent program overall Securing preceptorship was the student's responsibility but was not problematic since the process at that time was very straightforward. Course material was appropriately challenging and provided me with the tools needed to compete in the workforce and to pass the certification exam which was not required at that time. - Alum
