• Best Pediatric NP Program in So Cal CSULB is the best Pediatric primary care program in southern California—yes, even better than UCLA! Dr. Cheffer holds a high standard of excellence and really challenges you to learn all that you can while in her program. She's plugged in with great community resources and can give you the best possible real-world clinician experience. I recommend this program without reservation. - Alum
• Long Beach State Pros: close to home, I could ride my bike there. I could attend part time as I was working and a new mom Not as expensive as some of the other programs - Alum
• Great for the working nurse The program only required me to be on campus one day per week. It allowed me to choose my own clinical sites in my community. This helped me learn more about my community as well as make important contacts for my future employment. - Alum

• No Regrets Initially I wanted a private Christian school, but due to high tuition at these schools and their schedule, I chose Cal State. I don’t regret attending this school. I felt I had the best professors who were articulate and experienced. The work load was affordable for my to carry in addition to my work and personal life.
