• FSU MSN furthered my life! I was able to work part time as an RN during my master’s degree. The professors had long term connections within the community for my preceptorships which kept me local in Tallahassee. Professors were responsive and supportive during my entire program. Federal grants were available for tuition when I was in the program. I was prepared for certification through AANP with this program. The biggest gain from the program for me, beside the required academics and clinicals was independent thinking coupled with decision making skills for taking care of patients holistically by involving the patient’s goals to have a successful provider patient outcome. Attaining this degree made a big impact in my personal and professional goals. Highly recommend FSU. - Alum
• Prepared me well for my first role as a FNP The faculty were excellent. The college and staff were very supportive. I was adequately prepared to be a novice NP. After the program and its rigor, the board exam was a breeze. - Alum
• Preceptorship Securing a preceptorship was extremely difficult with no help or guidance from the program. I had to beg local potential preceptors. The program was ok and I passed certification exam on first attempt but also did much to learn outside of the program and took an external board review course - Alum
