- MU Nurse Practitioner Program It has been nearly 14 years since I completed my MSN-FNP option at MU. They had a strong program, they assisted with finding preceptors for those of us who didn't have many clinical connections in the area. The professors were very supportive and I felt they provided us with a strong foundation as we learned how to transition from nurse to clinician. I was so thankful for financial assistance through grants and scholarships as well. - Alum
- Very good location, very good professors, good I enjoyed this program, it was very small at the time when I went and very student focused. The hours were good and the workload was reasonable. - Alum
- good education it was a good basic education and totally doable working a full time job as an RN. - Alum
- Enjoyed theProgram We were mostly responsible for finding our own clinical sites. The workload was mostly manageable, but I did not work FT while in school. The faculty were friendly and approachable. - Alum
- Overall not Bad When I went I am not sure if they were in transition as throughout the program I had the same instructor for 3 of the 5 main classes. Which was good because that instructor had a lot of teaching and practical experience to help solidify what she was educating. But overall the experience was good. While (again when I went - graduated 2019) they claimed they were blended with both online and in-person classes but there was very little online classes. They had the online platform available and setup but just never used. Classes were once weekly which was good for a job. Clinical experiences - they did very little to nothing to help find preceptors for the clinical experiences, so I was rolling the dice with preceptors and the local hospitals. Especially in the area of Lancaster/York/Harrisburg there is something like 4 or 5 nurse practitioner programs all fighting for preceptors so the last clinical semester I was hoping/praying for a preceptor. - Alum
