- Best Program in the Nation I previously attended a DNP program in Lynchburg, VA, that was incredibly disorganized and lacked strong faculty support. Georgetown was the complete opposite. It is by far one of the best NP programs out there. The professors are true experts in their fields, and the curriculum is refined, intentional, and easy to follow. Every course felt well-structured and thoughtfully designed to build competence and confidence. Preceptorship placement support was helpful, though—like most programs—you still need to network and secure many of your own clinical sites. Even with that, I would choose this program again without hesitation. The education, reputation, and overall experience were absolutely worth the time and investment. - Alum
- Tough program and very expensive Clinical placement assistance within 100 miles of where you live often does not work out. Students often have to find their own. The expectation if Georgetown places you is that you get nursing licenses in surrounding states. Communication around placement was not good and they often left you on your own even though they say placement is something they can do. - Alum
- Excellent preparation for working This program is rigorous but extremely well-designed and an excellent prep for working as an NP. Well worth the time, money, and sweat/tears. Georgetown is also a widely recognized and well-respected institution nationally with a great reputation to employers. - Alum
- my program found my clinical placements for me My program found my clinical sites and there was no additional cost for my clinical rotations. it was a well-run program and I was prepared for my role as an NP. - Alum
- Price is for the name Most NP programs are lacking; however they don't cost as much. The part-time program is essentially full-time. - Alum
