3 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Couldn’t ask for a better experience. I would recommend the program to anyone who is looking for a program that pushes you to be the best provider you can be. Very professional environment, very organized about their clinical rotations and faculty staff was exceptional. - Alum
- Overall positive I was in the second cohort of the DNP program and so it was a relatively new program. There were two Nexus courses that were taught from other universities because Idaho State didn’t have those yet. Advanced pathophysiology and statistics. I had clinicals in Malad and all over South East Idaho. I was fortunate enough to work with the health department for my DNP project through my preceptor. There were 26 of us at the beginning and 11 of us graduated. I lived in Pocatello because I had a job there. All of my other classmates did not live in town and would come to campus for the mandatory pass offs every semester. We are still friends to this day and have a text group where we communicate. - Alum
- ISU DNP I would highly recommend the Idaho State DNP program. It’s fairly well put together. My biggest struggle with the program itself was that you are left to find your own preceptor placements, which was somewhat difficult. I did find that the workload was well balanced, and I did like that they had us doing clinicals Throughout the majority of the entire program rather than doing full load didactic at the beginning and full load clinicals at the end. It allowed me to continue to apply the skills and knowledge that I was learning on a real time basis and was a better benefit to my learning style. - Alum
