- Post master's doctorate My plan for this education was to propel me into either an academic position or a hospital leadership position. Academia positions salary were too low so I ruled them out. I was already in a leadership position and did not advance further due to the paternalistic organization I was working for. There are still many barriers to advance in leadership in a hospital with physicians feeling threatened by APNs competing for their roles. - Alum
- Preceptors SU obtained my OB/GYN preceptor, and she was amazing. I obtained my own peds, family practice preceptors as I had some experience as a nurse in the area. Personal life was hard at the time of the program and educators were so supportive. A very good experience for me. - Alum
- FNP training is adequate Appreciate the quality of professors teaching all classes, the clinical placement experiences and the affordability of tuition through various scholarships available. - Alum
- early 2010s grad I graduated over a decade ago, the program has changed since then, but I felt I was as adequately prepared as I could be from the APNI program. I had to learn a lot about diagnosing after graduation, also learned the basics of pharmacology but I think the program is much more rigorous these days. Despite the ranking I feel it is better than UW at preparing PMHNPs. - Alum
