- UW discontinued NNP Program in 2014 Unfortunately, the University of Washington discontinued their Neonatal Nurse Practitioner Program. Now, 100% of NNP candidates must travel out of state to get their education. - Alum
- Fab experience I have nothing but positive reviews of the program at UW. It’s top notch - Alum
- Well supported preparation This program prepared me well to pass my certification exam and find a job upon graduation. We had support through our program in getting paired with a clinical preceptor in our desired areas, so meeting the required clinical hours was not a stressful experience. - Alum
- decent school Decent school. some classes were challenging and relevant. A majority of the classes lacked depth and were a waste of time. School also asked us to do a lot of presentations, but the focus should have been learning how to prescribe and learning how to diagnosis. - Alum
- Highly recommend This is a real, solid, brick-and-mortar institution with a long history of quality education in several fields. The instructors of every class on every subject actually practice in advanced nursing aside from their educational work. They have a whole section dedicated to preceptor and clinical placement, so I never had to go find someone who would take me on as a student. The program is structured so that you can prepare, show up, participate, learn, and graduate with a highly respected degree and a minimum of non-academic busy work. Yes, it’s intense, but it’s intensity with a purpose. I don’t feel like I memorized a lot of facts that gave me the exact right diagnosis right in the moment of every visit. I feel like I learned a process that gets me to the right diagnosis and connects me to a patient in a way that builds a relationship. Plus, Seattle is a great place to live. The UW campus is beautiful and engaging. The facilities are modern and technologically advanced. Great school. - Alum
