4 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Well Known Name, Not Well Prepared Program DePaul University is a well known school. Their nursing program has been around for a while. And their NP program was growing when I started there in 2018. However, they were vastly unprepared for students to undergo this program. Several of my professors were very good! But the professors running the program were not. There was often miscommunication regarding requirements (both for school, and regulatory boards). Often, the staff did not communicate with each other. The school was very little help in finding any clinical placements for me, I did this on my own. Although I completed the program, and consider myself very good at my job, this was despite my DNP program, not because of it. - Alum
- Depaul Loved it!! Provides excellent educators practitioners. The practicum is wonderful. Nothing about Depaul left to the imagination. It’s great. - Alum
- Overall good experience I feel as though the education was great, and I felt prepared to start working as a nurse practitioner. However, finding a preceptor on my own without much support was quite stressful. - Alum
- Good experience I was looking for a program to get me from a BSN to DNP straight which DePaul offered. It was good overall however I wish I had more support with finding clinical placement. - Alum
