UAB can’t be beat!
Although I was part of a large FNP class, I never felt as though I was “just a number.” Faculty were very supportive and encouraging. I believe I received the BEST education to prepare me for my career as a rural FNP. Superb on-site clinical exam facilities! UAB is a “no-brainer.” APPLY!

Fantastic School
The UAB School of Nursing’s FNP track provided me with exceptional preparation for both board exams and real-world practice. The coursework was thorough and clinically relevant, and the faculty were consistently supportive. I was also placed with a preceptor who offered invaluable hands-on experience and truly helped me grow into a confident, well-prepared Family Nurse Practitioner. I’m grateful for the strong foundation UAB gave me as I enter my career. GO BLAZERS!!!

I would definitely choose again
Securing preceptorship sounds like a nightmare now, however UAB NNP team worked with each individual student to find clinical placement. While encouraged to secure preceptorship as soon as possible, the contract-writing team moved quickly (from what I have heard from other students in my cohort). If you were flexible, they would basically guarantee you a spot somewhere.
