- JU is an amazing school. You will not be sorry. The quality of education was superb. They helped find preceptors although this was 10 years ago. The professors were amazing. I couldn’t have asked for better. - Alum
- ENP/FNP JU was a great experience. Professors were excellent and the course work prepared me well for passing the boards. I did not work during the program as I did two specialties, but some of the other students did. Preceptors were easily obtained without paying fees. Unfortunately, the ENP/FNP program is no longer available at JU. - Alum
- Challenging but very do-able The program was challenging but not too tough that I couldn’t work part time. - Alum
- Wonderful JU Experience Overall, I had a great experience obtaining my DNP from JU. The class sizes are small and you are able to build personal relationships with professors that truly want you to succeed. I loved having in person classes instead of everything being online. It was also very helpful to have the program place students with preceptors. The only downfall was starting the DNP project in the final year of my program, but that has since changed so my experience is not that of current students. - Alum
- Challenging but prepared me well for the role! Professors were very knowledgeable and professional! Coursework was challenging which I am grateful for because prepared me for the realities of the role. Professors were very experienced, reasonable, invested in my success and very supportive. Love the multidisciplinary component of having co-taught classes with MD’s and DNP’s. My fellow colleagues were exceptional and cohort size was not too big to get lost in but not too small either, plenty of diversity of experiences and backgrounds. State of the art sim lab and clinical coordinator are unique resources that are not offered by many other programs. I did both my accelerated BSN and went back for FNP-MSN. New medical teaching building with separate parking very convenient for working professionals going back to school for advanced degree. Expanding program with additional professional healthcare specialties now offered, including DO program, which I believe will only contribute more to advanced nursing program quality and learning. - Alum
