If you are in the military USUHS is a great program. Graduated with approx 1000 clinical hours and was well prepared for practice and the boards

FNP masters pgm
The professors encouraged us to succeed and work at the top of our license anywhere our military forces are located. It is now a DNP program that prepared me for birth through geriatric clients and routine OB clients. I am grateful to be an USUHS alumni!

Poor program
— FNP clinical experiences limited to 3 rotations = Peds, Women’s health and Primary Care. ** We needed rotations throughout the different specialties - Ortho, Endocrinology, Radiology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Internal Medicine, etc. just like PA and MD training.
— Yes, I passed the Board Exam within 2-3 weeks of graduation and had DOUBLE the clinical hours needed to sit for the exam, but the clinical experience at USUHS was not adequate for real world practice.
— Within a few weeks of arriving at my first assignment as an NP, I had to ask my superiors for extra training in a variety of specialties so I could meet patients’ needs.

USUHS provides a solid education. It is your 'job' while in school so you do not need to figure out work and school.
