11 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Typical nursing program Some aspects were very valuable but there were also some absurd experiences. The values and priorities were skewed. Some minor things were assigned inflated significance. This has been, in my experience, typical of nursing programs. - Alum
- TTUHSC NP Program is a great program I felt more prepared entering the job market than some of my peers that graduated from other programs. I also felt like they prepared us for real world case studies and evaluations. Great program, rigorous but thorough, the professors were great at communicating. - Alum
- Best decision ever I gained so much knowledge from this program. The classes were timely and advocated for psychotherapy to be part of the services we provide as NPs. Research was encouraged and I had the opportunity to present at a state level conference. I highly recommend TTUHSC Lubbock for NP education. - Alum
- It was difficult finding preceptors. I worked 36 hrs/week in ICU while taking core classes for first year. I was busy & didn’t have much of a social life but workable. I have no children. I had to cut my hours to 24/week when clinical started. This is also when I took out some loans (not a lot). Had in state tuition & received some Pell Grants. It helped that I worked in a hospital ICU which helped me find preceptors. - Alum
- Hands on training We had to show up once a semester in Lubbock for hand on training with simulations. It was a great experience and helped me get ready for the real world. - Alum
