10 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- GCSU Experience I was fortunate to be able to work weekend nights, and attend school and clinicals midweek. I got excellent support from the teachers, the workload was appropriate and prepared me for certification and my career as a FNP. - Alum
- Great program, great professors I had 17 years nursing experience and many connections of my own. Secured all of my own preceptors. - Alum
- Wonderful Instructors I worked full time as a psych RN inpatient hospital while I completed my degree. The on campus requirement was very manageable, only 1-2 times a semester. The courses were organized, and wasn’t a bunch of filler/busy work. It prepared me for my actual job and certification exam. I was lucky enough to have two of the best nursing instructors I’ve ever worked with: Dr. Baker and Dr. Culpa-Bondal. It’s been 5 years since I graduated and they are still available and responsive for any further career or education goals I have. It was a great experience. The school did provide assistance with finding clinical placement as well. - Alum
- GC&SU NP Program My NP program at Georgia College and State University prepared me for practice. While Georgia College did not set up preceptorships, they were supportive in the preceptorships that I was able to arrange. The workload was such that I was able to continue to work as an RN while obtaining my degree. The goal of my professors was my success and they worked with me to achieve that goal. - Alum
- Prepared me well This program did a good job preparing me for passing my exam and succeeding as an NP. It was mostly online so it does require a lot of discipline and it is definitely hard to work full time throughout the whole program. - Alum
