4 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- There are better programs out there.. Overall, the program did get me to where I wanted to be-but I feel as though there was a whole bunch of busy work in order to get there. I received 0 help with securing clinical placements and even received pushback from the school when I split hours between a PMHNP and an MD. The school staff constantly contradict the handbook and when it’s brought to their attention, no one is held accountable. Instead, the handbook is changed next semester. Overall, I feel as though there are better programs out there for the amount of money invested. - Alum
- Recommended University for Psych NP preparation Overall, it was a good experience with the university. The PMHNP track has commendable faculties that will guide the student towards success and learning that is invaluable. I highly recommend MCPHS for the PMHNP track program. - Alum
- Felt it prepared me I felt the program prepared me well. After working for a while now, it really only felt like the first step. Learning continues after graduating. I thought over all though it gave me the baseline knowledge I needed and some confidence to take my first steps in practice. I think thats all you can really ask for. I would recommend others go there. - Alum
- Inaugural Online FNP Program As part of the inaugural class of the Online FNP Program, we faced several challenges, especially in securing preceptorships. We were responsible for finding these placements ourselves, and failure to do so on time could result in being removed from our cohort. I even had to sit out one semester because I couldn't secure a preceptorship, which was my biggest challenge. While the course load effectively prepared me to pass the exam, I struggled to find a job for a year due to limited support from the program. Ultimately, I secured a position through personal contacts from past preceptorships. I hope future students receive better career support, as the faculty faced a significant learning curve with us being the first onlinefamily nurse practitioner class at the school. - Alum
