- Critical problem solving skills As a practitioner, one needs to learn how to incorporate new knowledge into one’s present practice. The dynamic nature of this program allows you an opportunity to learn how to integrate this knowledge into your practice. It’s a critical variable for future patient success. - Alum
- Excellent experience I was well prepared for my certification exam and career as a nurse practitioner. Supportive instructors. - Alum
- Excellent program Program allowed me to continue to work full time while pursuing my MSN degree. Faculty and courses were very good and I felt well prepared to practice as an NP. I am still in touch with several classmates who are still in practice locally. Overall it was a great educational experience. - Alum
- UWO was pioneer I attended in the early 1980's because the program supported working while attending. Few schools cared. From working I was able to find a physician preceptor as there were not NP's in the area. ' - Alum
- New grad as a NP My nursing program has a 100% pass rate and this is one of the reason I decided to do my degree in this university. They help you to find preceptorship but unfortunately sometimes it wasn't in your area and you have to drive a few hours. In my case they help me sometimes to find a place to stay if I've to drive for a few hours. Some of my classmates were able to work while at graduate school. Quality of teaching was good 4/5 stars because some courses were online and sometimes discussions or questions about a topic couldn't be addressed as much as I would like or as in person. Teachers were always available for any questions. However, once I got my new job as a NP I was extremely nervous but at the back of my mind I did remember all the topics we discuss about the different system and how to approach those scenarios. - Alum
