- Program This program allowed me to learn the fundamentals of being an NP. We had a smaller group for my specific program which allowed for more time with our instructors to answer questions we may have - Alum
- More pros than cons Cons: They did not give any assistance with finding a preceptor. They did not do any extra test prep. Pros: Program was manageable while I worked. They were flexible with me when I needed to take a semester off. Affordable. In person advanced assessment class with standardized patients. A lot of scholarship opportunities. Most of the staff was very supportive and truly wanted to help you succeed. - Alum
- UAMS is great! I feel that overall I was well prepared to step out into the role of APRN after my education experiences with UAMS. - Alum
- APN 2005 I graduated years ago from UAMS. It has been good career and provided good income. - Alum
- Choose Wisely Find a preceptor who pushes you to stretch your boundaries. You may find a new niche. Look for the Interesting types. You will learn so much. Find someone who has you looking over other pts a bit so you can grab the most experience - Alum
