5 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Very happy with my experience I transferred to Mount Carmel from another school. I am so happy I did. I truly feel like I got a great education that I use every single day in my career. - Alum
- Faculty made it work Small class size and helpful team made sure we learned the material and were prepared to enter the field. - Alum
- MCCN review I had a great education from MCCN. However, you also get what you put into it as well. All instructors were available and ready to help if needed - Alum
- MCCN FNP Program I secured my preceptors independently through professional connections I had established in my healthcare career. Throughout the program, I was able to continue working full-time. Overall, the quality of the classes was strong, though the volume of online simulation experiences felt excessive, especially while completing clinical hours at the same time. Most professors were excellent, particularly Roxanne Oliver, Deanna Hunt, Alicia Philip, and Melanie Mackey. One significant drawback was the multiple tuition rate changes during the program, including an increase after the semester had already begun, coupled with a lack of professionalism and understanding from the Bursar’s office. Despite these challenges, I would recommend the program, though I believe certain improvements could enhance the overall experience. - Alum
- Not recommended With 13 years experience as an NP, the last 6 as a practicing Hospitalist NP, I simply needed the "education" component in order to sit for the AGACNP exam. My former credential was Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP). I knew that I went in with strong knowledge and could take the test essentially already, however QUITE disappointed in the professionally inexperienced instructors in the role, as well as the emotional immaturity of them when their teaching methods were not effective for the ENTIRE class, which required as to take our concerns higher up in the system. This was during the pandemic 2020-2021 and we were all practicing and stretched to the max, but nonetheless, we were paying for an education. Adequately completed the Post-Masters Acute Care Adult-Gero NP program and passed the exam, but I feel this was mostly due to my own knowledge. There was not teaching/ instruction by these educators. Would NOT recommend this program for anyone actually wanting/ needing to learn. - Alum
