6 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- My Experience in NP Program This program offered the flexibility I needed to continue to work part-time while completing my Masters. I did not feel as though it provided the preparation needed to be successful as a NP due to having to find my own preceptors and “luck of the draw” whether my preceptor would provide the best learning opportunity for me. I wish NP programs would mimic that of PA’s with adequate support to enable our success, rather than focusing so much on didactic and writing papers. - Alum
- Course load I started the program with a toddler and infant and worked full time nights. I knew if I was going to be able to juggle it all successfully that I would have to lighten my course load. I split the recommended 5 semester program into 8 semesters. The program is incredibly research heavy with endless writing of APA format papers. Finding preceptors was incredibly difficult and stressful, I recommend starting to secure preceptors as early as possible. - Alum
- ULL NP Program I feel that I was well prepared as a ULL NP student. I already had a nursing job that moved me to a NP role within the company. The Physicians in this area speak highly of the ULL grads. This is a brick and mortar school but the program is on-line.. - Alum
- Excellent program As with most programs at that time, you were expected to secure your own preceptors - Alum
- Not prepared The program did not adequately prepare me for my role as a FNP. Little to no teaching regarding interpretation of lab results or X-rays. Most of the program was spent doing “care plans “ which serve absolutely no purpose in my day to day patient care. - Alum
