• Hard work pays off While certainly challenging completing many years of part-time school, full-time work, and clinical rotations, I rely on my training daily as a NP and greatly value the education and experiences I gained. - Alum

• Great Acute Care NP program I had a wonderful experience at NYU. I was able to work full-time during this program however it was very difficult, and it is recommended to reduce your workload to part-time if you are able to. I was placed with great preceptors which is a great benefit of the program to not have to seek your own preceptorships. The cost of preceptorship was for traveling (metrocard, tolls, parking garages). The program utilizes problem-based learning which is an excellent system in my opinion and different than my previous education and helped me to succeed and pass the program, pass the boards and achieve a job in Neurocritical Care. - Alum
• Excellent program My experience in the NYU PMHNP program was overall positive, with a manageable workload that allowed me to continue working throughout my studies. The faculty offered strong academic support, and the coursework was well structured, preparing me thoroughly for the certification exam. Although securing a preceptorship required personal effort and some out-of-pocket cost, the program still provided helpful guidance during the process. The clinical training and mentorship equipped me with the confidence and skills needed for my role as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. Overall, the program was a valuable investment, and I would recommend it to future applicants. - Alum
