7 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Manageable as full time RN-part time student I felt like professors were invested in student success. It was a full-time 3-year program, but I took 4-years and went part time, usually 2 courses a semester, coursework was doable at that pace. The most stressful time was getting clinical hours since I continued to work full-time, just from the time investment and fatigue. UL identified clinical instructors for us to that was very positive. Professors overall were very available for questions, responsive to feedback and I felt grading was fair. I don't think any amount of student preparation will result in a newly graduated DNP being immediately comfortable and confident in their first position, but I do feel that I was well prepared by UL to advocate for myself and to find the evidence to support my practice. I loved going to UL, so much so that I am currently in a PhD program there. - Alum

- Great School U of L nursing program secured my preceptor experiences for me. They all turned out to be excellent for my development as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Meeting clinical hours was not a problem for me. My preceptors were some of the best and most experienced, they were awesome! - Alum
- Excellent program I gained valuable knowledge which has allowed me to be successful in my career. I would not hesitate to recommend UofL to those pursuing a degree as a nurse practitioner. It prepared me for the certification exam and for clinical practice. - Alum
- Preparing to practice as an NP I graduated several years ago. The classes prepared me well for my first job. The site that I worked with was actually seeking a women’s health nurse practitioner so they reached out to the school and the school coordinated that with me. That led into a job that I kept for over 22 years until retirement. During my preceptorship, I was not working. - Alum
