6 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Prepared me for my board examination I felt very prepared to take and successfully pass board, but there was no assistance to find preceptors or clinical sites. - Alum
- good program, lack of support in key areas. Overall the workload and subject matter was well organized and beneficial however this program truly lies on how good/bad of a preceptor experience you have. there is little to no support in obtaining a preceptor, there is no fall back on the school if you do not have one so you have to either sit out a semester or rearrange your classes if you do not. if you preceptor does not provide a good experience, you cannot simply fall back on what is learned. no real skills labs like other programs. - Alum
- Grateful I am very grateful to have received a masters education. - Alum
- FNP preceptor placement I had no difficulty finding a preceptor. There were many willing to assist with mentoring. Living in the communities made it easier to find placement. It has been difficult for some from other schools to find place in specialized areas. - Alum
- Program short comings I am not a fan of online learning which likely contributed to some of my dissatisfaction with the program. There was no assistance or advice on finding preceptors and living in a small, rural community, there were not many available or willing to precept. Very stressful trying to find preceptors and some were not very helpful at teaching but rather saw me as an assistant to them. I don’t recall any review courses or assistance preparing for certification exam. Courses did not include any medical coding or billing education and nothing on documentation for billing. - Alum
