5 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Disorganized Program If you can hang in there, you will complete the program. It was very disorganized and frustrating at times. The professors did not get back to students promptly. The assignment dates were not always correct. The workload is not too bad for students who are working. The affordability of the program was the biggest attraction. - Alum
- Good NP program This program prepared me well for my NP career. I felt confident and ready to start my new role as an NP. - Alum
- More educational It would have been better if the professors would of lectured on disease process instead of being self learned. The professors should also engage in educating students how to choose medications. For example which of the beta blockers is better for HR controll and which are better for BP controll. - Alum
- UTRGV PMHNP Post master The program is cost effective and efficient, it requires a lot of work outside of class. They do not help assist with placement for preceptorship so I recommend you have them set up prior to enrolling as the program goes fast! - Alum
- I felt highly stressed. Unfortunately, I felt extremely stressed throughout the program, poor faculty support, and it created a poor learning environment. Securing preceptor was entirely left to the student with minimal directive, therefore, some of my precepting opportunities were not ideal. - Alum
