5 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- I had a great experience I felt like I learned a lot and I met great people. At the time, the program felt like the left hand wasn’t talking to the right hand, but I believe that was because there was a lot of changes happening at the time. Regardless, I feel like I got a great education, and for the money that I paid it was a great value. No regrets. - Alum
- Recommend Clemson SON If you want the best education along with the best experience then you will choose to be a Tiger! - Alum
- Clemson is an excellent NP program Securing preceptorship is probably most difficult consideration for NP school. Professors were excellent and prepared my mindset for autonomous practice. I was unable to work and compete school full time due to constraints of thesis. - Alum
- Preceptorship I have been out of school for some years and feel current students have a much harder time securing preceptorships than I did. As many practices are hospital owned, they are governed by rules that allow who can and cannot be allowed to into the practice for preceptorship. I currently am employed by an independently owned practice but find my work load makes it difficult to take students to precept as often as I’d like! It would be nice to have some type of collaboration with local programs in attempts to help with preceptorships! - Alum
- Generally The classroom experience was adequate for enabling me to perform as a NP after graduation. My preceptors were excellent. The thesis experience was miserable. Glad to hear that students are doing projects that are meaningful. - Alum
