7 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- FNP prepared Class Schedule was excellent for continuing nursing position and attend classes Faculty were very supportive and up to date on new aspects of the profession Clinical sites were sufficient to meet our needs and collaborated with faculty Testing was similar to certification exams I had an NP position upon graduation - Alum
- Nursing theory Nursing theory is a waste of time in school, especially grad school. It is not realistic and not applicable to actual NP careers. We also had to utilize it in our thesis, which was also not realistic or applicable to actual careers and the real work NPs do. Programs should Spend more time on pharm, diagnosis and treatment. - Alum
- Outstanding program taught by practicing NPs The program was intense but I felt fully prepared to be a professional NP. Being taught by NPs that were actively working as nurse practitioners in the community made all the difference! - Alum
- I had a great preceptor! She provided a broad array of learning opportunities at her practice. - Alum
- Excellent support by school staff I was able to continue working during 1st and 2nd semesters. During the 3rd semester, I was not able to work due to the hours required. I liked the two days in room class which allowed me to try and balance life-work-school the rest of the week. The support by staff during my thesis was excellent. It prepared me for the NP workforce and eventually achieving my DNP. - Alum
