- Overall good school Liberty University provides an excellent educational experience with a supportive and knowledgeable faculty dedicated to student success. The team was incredibly welcoming, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure a positive and enriching learning environment. - Alum
- Great Christian School and NP program! The faculty was very supportive throughout the program; it prepared me for my certification exam and the real world! - Alum
- LU DNP/FNP Overall, it was a decent experience. Tuition costs were reasonable, and they provided some support for finding a preceptor, depending on your location. Most times, I ended up securing my own preceptor because the options the preceptor coordinators found were farther away. The format of classes were all 8 week online, which is fine for the essay/project based classes, but it was not conducive for optimal learning for the heavy content-based classes like pharmacology, chronic/acute health, pathophysiology, etc. The recorded lectures were very poor quality and you were left to cram a massive amount of information for a test every week. There were typos and errors on the exams, which was extremely frustrating. I'm thankful for the flexibility and low cost, but the instructional quality was not ideal. In hindsight, I also would have preferred to do a masters level NP program so I could enter practice sooner and return for the DNP later if desired. The DNP portion was mostly just "fluff." - Alum
- Don't go here Curriculum is outdated. Tests are just cut and pasted from the purple book. Horrible experience with preceptor placement. The practicum team is useless. They actively make things difficult. They have ridiculous questions and they'll just send emails but they never actually pick up the phone to talk to someone. - Alum
- 100% Self Taught They don't have professors or instructors for the classes. They have facilitators. They hired an outside company to create the exams and pre-recorded lectures. If you had a question about a concept from the lecture, you had to contact the facilitator who would then contact the preson at the outside company who created the lecture. Then, that person would explain it to the facilitator who would then explain it to the student. The time line for each of those actions was 3 days. So, in 3 days, the facilitator had to contact the creator with the question. Then the creator had 3 days to tell the facilitator, etc. Each concept was only 7 days. That means that it would be 2 weeks after that lecture that you would finally receive an answer. The person who oversaw the program was constantly changing the rules in the middle of the semester thereby negating the contract that was created between the student and the school. There are only a few examples - I have many others! - Alum
