7 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- University of St. Francis University of Saint Francis is a great school with great instructors. They were helpful in finding preceptors which made the process less stressful. I felt very prepared going into my certification exam. - Alum
- USF FNP MSN Program I had a great experience at the University of Saint Francis while obtaining my Masters of Nursing Family Nurse Practitioner degree. The entire staff were supportive, knowledgeable, and provided a well rounded education which enabled me to be adequately prepared upon graduation. I had no issues passing my certification exam on the first try and went right into practice as soon as all of my credentialing was complete with my employer. I felt properly prepared to take on the new role. I highly recommend this school and program! - Alum
- FNP Program It was difficult at times and stressful finding a preceptorship. I did receive some assistance from the faculty. The key was to start early and to be proactive. I graduated 10 years ago and I do not regret my decision to become a FNP. The faculty was excellent, especially Cheryl Erickson. The program was challenging and rewarding. - Alum
- NP school experience: At the time I attended, we were responsible for securing our own preceptorships which was very difficult and stressful. The workload was expected to be heavy due to choosing the accelerated path-therefore not being able to work made sense. I felt most teachers were amazing and wanted us to succeed! Overall, I felt the program was very supportive, and helpful with succeeding as a student NP. The assistance with precepting would have been helpful, looks like it is better now (as I help precept students). Great school, great program! - Alum
- Good graduate experience at my Alma mater I went to undergrad here, so transition to grad school was seamless. Staff was readily available for any needs. No complaints. Would have liked more assistance with obtaining a preceptor — I knew providers from work so was generally able to secure preceptorships without much trouble, but there was no preferred list or starting point; however, this helped me take ownership over my education, which did actually help me move forward professionally. If I had the chance to do it over, I would choose the same NP school. - Alum
