3 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Incredible people, incredible program Not many people tell you that they would gladly repeat their doctoral programs. If not for cost and impact on patient care at this point in my career, I would do it all over again at TCU. When evaluating DNP programs, I looked at 31 schools. I only applied to one, and thankfully TCU thought I was a worthy candidate. TCU is set apart, not only by the rigor and focus on translational research (which helps practicing nurses use the best evidence to take care of our patients at the bedside), it’s people make the difference. Every staff member, every instructor, every professor, every support person along the way became like part of my family during the three years I spent at TCU. My Program chair and committee advisor, two of my favorite professors, are now trusted colleagues 13 years later.. Earning a doctorate is far from easy, but these people made it something I would do all over again! - Alum
- Balancing Work and Doctoral Study Completing the DNP Nurse Practitioner program at Texas Christian University while working full-time was both challenging and deeply rewarding. The professors were truly phenomenal—supportive, knowledgeable, and deeply invested in student success. The hybrid format offered much-needed flexibility, though securing clinical preceptors was a notable challenge, likely due to the program being in its early stages. Despite that, the DNP project and overall academic rigor prepared me to lead and practice at the highest level. Proud to be part of TCU’s inaugural cohort and excited to see the program grow! GO FROGS! - Alum
- Highy Recommended, Offers Clinical Placement going to TCU as one of the best decisions I had. The professors are all very supportive, attentive to student needs, firm, but approachable the curriculum is solid. It is hybrid model so we have to go to school at least once per semester. I enjoyed the clinical simulations, skills, and procedures classes. The education is high-quality. It prepared me to be ready for boards and transition into practice after completing school. They help with clinical placement with zero fees. - Alum
