- Poor assistance for post graduate I had a terrible experience with the director of the program refusing to assist me with translation of the course work I received during my program. When moving out of state she was rude and unhelpful to me. I was extremely disappointed. During my tenure with the staff in the past I was treated very well and assisted with anything I needed for success. Poor choice in your new program director - Alum
- Found my specialty This was an entirely in-person program. The school found the preceptor based on my interest and focus (Geriatrics House Call), leading me to my practice today. - Alum
- It's a OK program. Able to work during NP program. I attended a FNP program in this school. Overall, it's a OK program. The school had a hard time to find preceptors. Some instructors were not good. I was able to work part-time during my school years. I was able to find a NP job within 6 months after I graduated. - Alum
- Preceptor Precepting is such a valuable experience, my pediatric rotation was in rural Eureka, California, and it was one of the most formative times of my entire career. I was very fortunate to not only have my program find me this placement, but they also found me housing while I was up there every week. I really appreciated The opportunities is afforded me during my time at San Francisco State University! - Alum
- SFSU post-Master’s FNP Certificate Program Education was not especially challenging for me; much of what was covered in lecture was stuff I already knew from before (I was a medical scribe before attending their ELMA program). Most of my learnings came from the practicums. I was able to continue working 3-12s at least to pay for school. The program did help find clinical placements for all students, although it sounded like some folks had more difficulty than I did (being technically bilingual helped) and so they had to find their own placements. And one of those placements landed me a job, so it all worked out. - Alum
