7 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Best part? The name While I passed my certification on the first try, this was due to my study abilities, a Fitzgerald prep course, and my clinical experiences. As a post-cert student, I only had three didactic courses to complete but I felt like I taught myself. - Alum
- Best experience for working adult I completed the program as a distance student which allowed me to work and complete the course work. At the time the distance equipment wasn't reliable which caused me to travel to campus for most classes. I would not recommend the distance option for a novice student. - Alum
- I love my Alma Mater! The University of Virginia lives up to its reputation in the nursing school. Classes were engaging and thorough. The professors were top scholars, well prepared, and provided a wealth of practical experience. They understood the challenges of transitioning from RN to the responsibilities of an NP, and supported us every step of the way. Can't say enough good things. It was expensive but worth it! - Alum
- Preceptor was on a school list and I was accepted. I was able continue working in the ER on weekends at the university hospital. - Alum
- Great school and faculty UVA SON was an excellent experience for me to receive a high caliber education that prepared me well for the clinical work and role of a NP. - Alum
