- Preceptor was on a school list and I was accepted. I was able continue working in the ER on weekends at the university hospital. - Alum
- Great school and faculty UVA SON was an excellent experience for me to receive a high caliber education that prepared me well for the clinical work and role of a NP. - Alum
- Clear objectives stated in program. I was able to complete the program and continue to manage a large patient panel as a Family Nurse Practitioner. - Alum
- Uva- Great School The program was manageable. In-person classes truly helped me learn & retain the material. With preceptor placement program, they want the students to make the 1st contact to potential preceptors. They do offer a list of preceptors in many different locations. I gave 4 stars because I would like to see more diversity among professors. - Alum
- An Experience I had to find my own preceptors. They did not help me find a job upon graduation. In fact, I cannot get a job at UVA despite having graduated from UVA. I worked at UVA during my clinicals so I was able to work around my school schedule. Meeting my required clinical hours was not stressful. I feel that tuition is overpriced; I only chose UVA because I got tuition assistance as I worked there. I am looking at a post master's certificate and UVA is not at the top of the list (due to the cost of tuition). - Alum
