6 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Good program - online learning I wish there were more prep for the exams and more prep for career after school. - Alum
- Overall satisfactory I enjoyed my education at Samuel Merritt and I liked the focus on clinical education rather than academics and paper writing. They capitalized on evidence based practice which is great for integrity of the profession. Only negative if they did not do a great job with securing clinical sites. For the price, this should not be an issue students need to worry about. - Alum
- FNP Program The FNP program did not place us in most of our clinical placements for our hours. We were expected to find our own placements. Given how expensive the program was this was very stressful for the students who spent too much time looking for their own preceptors. - Alum
- Professional professors Professors were friendly, easy-to-approach and were all knowledgeable. - Alum
- Entry level masters Samuel Merritt had an excellent nursing program that prepared me very well for the NCLEX. On continuing to the nurse practitioner portion, it wasn’t quite as proactive, and because the schooling was about a week placed out, it was more difficult to learn effectively. I was able to work full-time while going to school for the NP. This definitely had quite a big effect on the ability to study as effectively as I wanted to for the NP portion. Overall, would say that Samuel Merritt was a really great school, but it is very pricey as well. One thing the note is that with six figures and loans, it takes a lot of time to pay these off with compounding interest as well. - Alum
