I felt well supported by the UWEC DNP program, I felt they helped find qualified and enthusiastic preceptors.

Hit or miss
I applied for the residency program through the local Mayo so once I was accepted I did not have any trouble getting clinical experiences. The education itself was hit or miss. Some teachers were great, some so-so. Overall, I felt like the program was a little heavy on nursing academics rather than clinical knowledge and applications.

Great program
I did the program full-time so I only worked part and causal. The program was flexible for those who wanted to work more and do the program part-time. I liked that the program was in person with hand’s on training. I would highly recommend!

MSN path for FNP
To be fair, I completed my program over 10nyears ago so I am certain things have changed to some extent. The program itself was good. We did have to take some control in obtaining preceptors but the experiences I had we fantastic.
